Mykaila Symes moved to New York City from Ottawa Ontario, Canada after graduating from Sacred Heart Catholic High School on the honour roll and with the highest mark in the dance program. She trained at Linda Jamieson School of Dance, Festival Ballet Providence and Alonzo King Lines Ballet in all styles of dance. Mykaila is now training at The Ailey School in the Certificate Program. While at the Ailey School she has performed works by Patrick Coker, Nai-Ni Chen and Darrell Moultrie. Mykaila will be graduating from the Ailey School in 2017.
Julian Watson began dancing at the age of 17. Beginning with Competitive Latin Ballroom and other Latin dances, he then moved into ballet and contemporary. Originally from Philadelphia, he moved to NYC, and has been studying with French and Russian/Vaganova method teachers since. He has attended summer programs at Ellison Ballet, Danish Ballet Masters-Royal Danish Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, among many others. He currently is dancing as a free lance artist, and training privately with his coach, Andrei Vassiliev. Julian will be dancing in the Jacobs Pillow Summer Ballet Gala and In Dresden Germany this summer. He hopes to one day be dancing in a National European Theater.
Birgid Volens is a multi-faceted professional who sings and plays guitar, piano and synthesizer. She is a prolific composer, vocal coach and performer in Brussels, France and New York. Mrs. Volens has studied in Paris and Brussels at the famous Conservatoire National. As a vocal coach, the quality of Mrs. Volens teaching comes from the high exigency she herself received from her professors. She created “Sing Your Life” - a school where voices blossom to their full potential. Because she is a performer, she doesn’t shy away from direct exposure and improvisation by creating one of a kind openings and private events. Whether acoustic or electric, the atmosphere she creates is upon request and therefore varies in style. From bare piano/voice sound to a more electrified type with guitar, keyboard or voice: There is a wide diversity to her musical portfolio which satisfy clients who look for someone who has a deep understanding of Music as a pure art form. The maturity and originality of her craft attract the needs of filmmakers, productions and artists alike. At the avant-garde of composition, she sets her heart into providing a unique sound for film, documentary or artsy pieces. Among her list, choir compositions, traditional songs, experimental sounds. She has been working with the film production Sunrun Films and film director aurélien réal and Le Grand Souffle. Right now, she is composing the music for the on-going artwork pieces by visual artist Stéphanie Corne in New York.
